One of the first restaurants I ever went to in Burlington was Harrison’s. This under wraps sandwich place, tucked away in the Harris Teeter parking lot, is one heck of a gem if you’re craving a hot wrap or sandwich.
My favorite thing about Harrison’s is its simplicity. They offer 16 sandwiches that appeal to every taste. Whether you want a traditional club, tuna salad or even teriyaki chicken sandwich, you can find it here. The restaurant also serves up shishkabob platters, salads and various sides.
Beware of lunchtime rush hour, as the line fills up quickly. But if you have to wait in line, every second is worth the sandwich that will soon be in your presence. Admire the local artwork hanging on the walls to ease your impatience.
Here are some of my favorite sandwiches at Harrison’s:

The Hot Turkey sandwich (sliced turkey breast, melted swiss, sauteed green peppers and mushrooms, mayonnaise)

The Veggie Sandwich (sauteed onions, green peppers, mushrooms, mayonnaise, lettuce and tomato on pita. I substituted tzatziki sauce for mayonnaise!)
