Today’s pita creation was inspired by a childhood favorite of mine: peanut butter and banana sandwiches. The mini pita pocket is a great substitution for two slices of bread and definitely cuts calories. It was a little too small to be considered “filling” but good thing I brought along some healthy (go me!) sides like blackberries, carrots and hummus.
So travel back down memory lane and recreate some of the special treats you loved as a kid!
